Transcarent, the leading platform for accessible health and care, has announced the appointment of Erica Palsis as its new Chief Legal Officer. In this key role, Palsis will lead the company’s legal, compliance, and regulatory functions, helping drive Transcarent’s ongoing expansion and its mission to simplify access to high-quality, affordable healthcare. She will report directly to CEO Glen Tullman.
With a wealth of experience in legal and compliance leadership, Palsis has played a pivotal role in guiding high-growth healthcare and tech companies through the challenges of launching AI-driven solutions. She joins Transcarent from Carrot Fertility, where she successfully managed both legal and human resources functions.
Before that, Palsis was General Counsel at Cue Health, where she led the company through its successful 2021 IPO. She also served as General Counsel at Livongo Health, where she was integral to the launch of the Applied Health Signals category, the company’s 2019 IPO, and its groundbreaking $18.5 billion merger with Teladoc Health in 2020. Palsis began her legal career as Corporate Counsel at Allscripts.
“Erica’s extensive experience in healthcare law, combined with her ability to lead companies through transformative periods, is exactly what we need at Transcarent,” said Glen Tullman, CEO of Transcarent. “We are setting the bar for how AI and technology can improve healthcare while reducing costs, and Erica’s leadership in driving innovative, tech-powered solutions will be crucial as we empower consumers, broaden access to care, and deliver an experience that people will value.”
“I’m thrilled to be joining Transcarent at such an exciting time,” Palsis said. “Responsible innovation is key to lowering healthcare costs and improving outcomes for millions of people. As Chief Legal Officer, my goal will be to further strengthen our culture of integrity, transparency, and data stewardship, ensuring that both our clients and members continue to trust Transcarent as a reliable partner.”
Palsis holds a B.A. in Political Science from Loyola University Chicago and a J.D. from DePaul University College of Law.
