Vodafone Qatar and Hytera International Technology Co., Ltd. (HITCL) have formalized their partnership with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking a significant milestone in their longstanding collaboration. This agreement is set to enhance their joint efforts in delivering mission-critical communications services.
The MoU was officially signed at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) Doha 2025 by Mohammed Mohsin Alyafei, Enterprise Business Unit Director at Vodafone Qatar, and Tony Wang, Business Development Director at Hytera.
The goal of the partnership is to provide reliable and secure communications solutions across key industries in Qatar, including public safety, utilities, transportation, healthcare, and construction—areas where robust communication systems are vital. Together, Vodafone Qatar and Hytera aim to support the safety, resilience, and prosperity of communities throughout the nation.
Leveraging Vodafone Qatar’s extensive network and service capabilities along with Hytera's global expertise in mission-critical technologies, the collaboration is poised to expand market reach and drive sustainable business growth. Hytera’s communications systems, built in compliance with 3GPP standards, are currently aligned with Release 18 (R18) specifications, underscoring their reliability for high-demand applications.
A pivotal feature of this partnership is the integration of AI-driven operations, further enhancing Vodafone Qatar’s readiness for next-generation network capabilities. These advanced solutions will provide highly reliable connectivity for critical operations such as remote medical support and autonomous emergency response systems.
