Silvus Technologies StreamCaster SC4400E Certified for Military and Commercial Use

Silvus Technologies, a subsidiary of Motorola Solutions and a global leader in advanced wireless networking, has announced a significant achievement with its StreamCaster 4400 Enhanced (SC4400E) mobile ad-hoc network (MANET) radio. The U.S. Department of Defense's (DoD) Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) has officially added the SC4400E to its Blue UAS Framework. This certification is part of a stringent testing program that ensures technologies meet the high standards required for U.S. military unmanned aircraft system (UAS) operations. Additionally, the Association of Uncrewed Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) has included the SC4400E in its Green UAS Cleared Components list, confirming its compliance with strict cybersecurity and supply chain requirements for commercial drones.

Neema Daneshvar, Vice President of Product at Silvus Technologies, emphasized the significance of these certifications: “The Blue UAS Framework and AUVSI Green UAS certification validate that the SC4400E MANET radio meets the rigorous standards for secure, mission-critical connectivity demanded by today's leading-edge unmanned systems operating in the world’s most challenging and contested environments.” He further highlighted that these accolades reinforce Silvus’ position as a benchmark in delivering robust, secure, and resilient command and control (C2) and mesh networking solutions for unmanned operations.

The SC4400E leverages Silvus' proprietary Mobile Networked MIMO waveform, allowing it to create scalable mesh networks that can connect hundreds of nodes, ranging from drones to ground radios. This technology facilitates the transmission of high-bandwidth video, voice, and sensor data back to command centers, offering exceptional range and reliability. The radio’s design allows for seamless integration into various platforms—whether fixed infrastructure, vehicular, maritime, airborne, or unmanned systems—enabling versatile applications across air, land, and sea.

Equipped with Spectrum Dominance 2.0 capabilities, the SC4400E ensures secure communications even in contested electromagnetic environments. Features such as Low Probability of Intercept/Low Probability of Detection (LPI/LPD), Anti-Jamming, and Advanced Threat Protection enable uninterrupted operations in highly congested and adversarial spectra, ensuring mission success despite electronic warfare threats.

This addition to the Blue UAS Framework and Green UAS Cleared Components list further solidifies Silvus’ leadership in providing state-of-the-art, NDAA-compliant MANET radios for unmanned missions. The SC4400E joins other Silvus radios, including the SC4200EP, SL4200, and SL5200, already recognized within these frameworks.

Silvus Technologies, a Motorola Solutions company, is at the forefront of mesh network technology, delivering vital communications systems for defense, law enforcement, and public safety agencies. Its StreamCaster radios and MN-MIMO waveform are trusted in some of the world’s most demanding operational environments, ensuring secure, reliable communications at the tactical edge. The company continues to innovate and evolve its offerings, providing unmatched range, data throughput, and resilience in electronic warfare conditions.
