Infosys, the Indian tech giant, has announced a powerful collaboration with Anthropic, the renowned AI company, to create advanced AI-driven solutions for enterprises. By combining the strengths of Anthropic’s Claude platform with Infosys’s own AI technology, Topaz, this partnership aims to bring sophisticated AI agents to industries like telecoms, financial services, software development, and manufacturing.
The integration of Claude and Topaz will enable enterprises to automate complex workflows while maintaining transparency and strong governance standards. According to Infosys, this will empower businesses to build AI agents capable of managing long, intricate processes, moving beyond simple one-off interactions. Additionally, it will help organisations modernise their legacy systems, streamlining operations across various sectors.
Salil Parekh, CEO of Infosys, shared his vision for the future: “AI is transforming not just business, but the entire way industries operate and innovate. Our partnership with Anthropic marks a significant step forward in advancing enterprise AI, giving organisations the tools to unlock value, enhance resilience, and improve responsibility.”
This announcement comes at a pivotal time as India hosts a major AI summit, attracting global leaders, tech innovators, and investors, who are all keen to navigate the fast-paced global AI race. The summit, taking place in New Delhi, reflects India’s growing ambition to compete with the US and China as an AI powerhouse.
Dario Amodei, CEO and co-founder of Anthropic, highlighted the unique advantages of the partnership. “There’s a significant gap between AI models that work in demos and those that can be trusted in regulated industries. To close this gap, domain expertise is essential," he stated. "Infosys brings that expertise across critical sectors like telecom, finance, and manufacturing. Their developers are already using Claude Code to accelerate their work, developing AI agents that are precise, compliant, and knowledgeable.”
Anthropic has also formed alliances with other major players this week, including Air India and Cognizant, to deploy Claude internally, further solidifying its AI capabilities across various industries.
Infosys, headquartered in Bengaluru, has more than four decades of experience, employing over 300,000 people across approximately 60 countries. Anthropic, valued recently at $380 billion after a Series G funding round, continues to push the envelope in AI development.
This collaboration exemplifies how two industry leaders are combining their expertise to revolutionise how enterprises use AI to tackle complex challenges and optimise business performance.
