Iron Mountain (NYSE: IRM) has appointed Gary Aitkenhead as its new Executive Vice President and General Manager of Data Centers, a crucial leadership role overseeing the global commercial and operational activities of the company’s data centers division. Aitkenhead, who brings extensive expertise from past leadership roles at Equinix, the UK Ministry of Defence’s Science & Technology Laboratory, and Motorola Solutions, will report directly to Mark Kidd, EVP and GM of Asset Lifecycle Management & Data Centers.
Gary Aitkenhead’s appointment comes at a time of rapid growth for the data center industry, with demand for capacity soaring. Iron Mountain CEO William L.
