BRINC Secures $75 Million in Funding to Accelerate Emergency Drone Technology, Partners with Motorola Solutions
Seattle, WA – April 8, 2025 – BRINC, the leading manufacturer of emergency response drones in the United States, has raised $75 million in a new funding round aimed at speeding up the development and production of its groundbreaking lifesaving drone technology. This new investment will allow the company to scale its operations, enhance research and development, and respond to the increasing demand from public safety agencies across the nation.
Index Ventures led the round, continuing its strong backing of BRINC after participating in the company’s previous two funding rounds. Joining them in this strategic investment is Motorola Solutions, which has formed an alliance with BRINC to integrate its cutting-edge drones into Motorola’s suite of public safety tools. Additional prominent investors include Mike Volpi and Dylan Field, CEO and founder of Figma.
The influx of capital will enable BRINC to expand its production capacity to meet the rising demand for its innovative drones, which have already proven indispensable to police, fire, and emergency response teams across the country. The company plans to use the funds to further enhance its drone technology, develop next-generation systems, and grow its workforce to support the continued innovation and scale of its operations.
The partnership with Motorola Solutions takes BRINC’s technology to a new level. The collaboration integrates BRINC drones with Motorola’s comprehensive public safety ecosystem, including its APX radios, VESTA 911 emergency call management software, Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) systems, Real-Time Crime Center Software (CommandCentral Aware), and Automatic License Plate Recognition technology.
With these new integrations, public safety teams can deploy BRINC drones with a single button press on a radio, receive real-time aerial intelligence, and respond to emerging situations immediately. The drones, equipped with advanced sensors, will help public safety professionals better manage crises, enhance situational awareness, and de-escalate potentially dangerous situations more effectively.
“The addition of BRINC to our strategic portfolio is a game-changer for public safety,” said Vlad Loktev, Partner at Index Ventures. “Their technology has already revolutionized how first responders handle high-stakes incidents, and we’re excited to continue supporting them as they expand their impact.”
Raj Naik, Senior Vice President of Strategy & Ventures at Motorola Solutions, expressed similar enthusiasm about the partnership: “BRINC’s drones represent a critical leap forward in how we can integrate technology to safeguard lives. Our shared mission to protect people aligns perfectly, and we’re excited about the possibilities this collaboration brings.”
Blake Resnick, Founder and CEO of BRINC, shared his excitement about the future: “This investment and partnership with Motorola Solutions solidify our position at the forefront of emergency response innovation. We are more committed than ever to building world-class drones and continuing to scale our team to meet the needs of public safety agencies across the country.”
With hundreds of agencies already depending on BRINC’s drones for tactical support, this new phase promises to reshape how emergency response teams handle crises, making operations faster, safer, and more efficient.
